Hannah Hoyt

Hannah Hoyt is excited to be making her Opera Carolina debut in the role of Annina! Ms. Hoyt started her journey in 2004 as a member of the children’s chorus in Opera Carolina’s Tosca. She decided she wanted to be an opera singer when she grew up, and sang with CPCC Opera Theatre for five operas before receiving her musical education at Berklee College of Music. Recent roles include Despina (Cosi fan Tutte), Yum-Yum (The Mikado), Hansel (Hansel and Gretel), Sarah (Connection Lost: The Tinder Opera), Mabel (The Pirates of Penzance), and Gretel (Hansel and Gretel). On the concert stage Ms. Hoyt has sung Maria in “Final Fantasy: Distant Worlds” 25th Anniversary Concert at Symphony Hall, and Gilda in the Rigoletto quartet “Bella Figlia Amore” at the Verdi vs. Wagner concert with CPCC Opera Theatre. Ms. Hoyt is a company member of Opera Carolina and has sung in the chorus for Turandot, Aleko, I Pagliacci, and The Barber of Seville.
