The Opera Carolina 2025 Benefit Golf Tournament brings together two organizations of excellence: Opera Carolina and The Club at Longview. We invite you to experience a challenging and enjoyable day of golf and client development, while supporting the leading opera company in the region. Join us May 12, 2025 for an exceptional event! The Club at Longview Meeting the highest standards in golf course design, Longview proudly boasts a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course design. It is the only gated residential golf course in the Charlotte region to earn a place in Golf Digest’s prestigious “Best in State” rankings, where it has been a fixture among North Carolina’s top 20 golf courses ever since its 2003 opening. As part of the Tournament experience, all participants receive a Titleist Premium Gift Package of their choice underwritten by Audi Charlotte, Titleist, and Hearst.
Returning for 2025 is the Opera Carolina Cup. As a part of the Tournament, area country club teams compete for the Cup. Started in 2015 local area country clubs participated, with Myers Park Country Club claiming the Cup in its first year. In 2024 the competition included eight clubs, with Longview CC & Ballantyne CC tied.
Net proceeds from this event benefit Opera Carolina, the largest and oldest professional opera company in the region. Serving more than 70,000 people each year, Opera Carolina is a Charlotte-based, not-for-profit corporation that serves an average of 22 counties in North Carolina, South Carolina and Northern Georgia. Acclaimed by the public and critics alike for its main stage productions of traditional and contemporary operas, Opera Carolina is also a leading exponent in the field of Arts Education. With four flagship programs, Opera Xpress, Student Night at the Opera, The Opera Carolina Academy, the company reaches an average of 26,000 students each year, often providing them with their first experience of live performance.
The Course
Meeting the highest standards in golf course design, Longview proudly boasts a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course design. The Cup
As part of the Tournament, area country club teams will compete for the Cup. In 2015, five country clubs participated, with Myers Park Country Club claiming the inaugural Cup. In 2019 the competition expanded to nine clubs, with Northstone CC winning.
The Benefit
Net proceeds from this event benefit Opera Carolina, the largest and oldest professional opera company in the region that:
- Impacts and inspires more than 70,000 people each year
- Reaches 22 counties across NC, SC, and Northern GA
- A leader in the field of Arts Education, with a suite of learning programs (Opera Xpress, Student Night at the Opera, and The Youth Academy)
