Opera Carolina Goes International
2024 Summer INTERNATIONAL LYRIC ACADEMY FESTIVAL
Opera Carolina has created a new partnership with the International Lyric Academy (ILA) in Italy to elevate opportunities for emerging opera artists. This summer, more than 100 opera singers and musicians from across the globe arrive in Queen City for three weeks of immersive mentorship, followed by two weeks in Vicenza, training, and performances under the guidance of master teachers, conductors, and directors.

In normal times, Opera Carolina performs in Charlotte's premiere venues, the Belk and Knight Theaters, in the heart of center city Charlotte. The pandemic hasn’t stopped us from performing: It’s just expanded our venues.
