Born in Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Esteves studied singing in Madrid and worked with Peter Guth, Miguel Gomes Martinez, Helena Herrera, Mario Perusso, Enrique Ricci, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Alain Lombard, Alain Guingal, Marcello Panni, Gianluca Martinenghi, Stefano Ranzani, John Neschling, Lorin Maazel and Emilio Sagi, Roberto Lagana, Roderto de Oswald, Sonja Frisel, Ivo Guerra, Stefano Vizioli, Marco Gandini, Giancarlo del Monaco etc.

In Spain, he had a great success in 1998 in La bohème al Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid and at the Teatro Cervantes in Malaga, in La favorita in Pamplona and Jerez de la Frontiera and in Romeo et Juliette. He sang at famous stages, Teatro Real de Madrid, Palacio Euskalduna and Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, Palacio de la Opera in La Coruña, Auditorium of Tenerife, Teatro Cervantes in Malaga, Teatro de la Maestranza in Sevilla.

In Italy, he performed at Teatro Nuovo in Spoleto, Filarmonico in Verona, Teatro Verdi in Busseto, Teatro Comunale in Treviso, Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Messina, Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, Teatro dell’Aquila in Fermo, Auditorio in Milano with La Boheme, La traviata, Le Nozze di Figaro, Un Ballo in Maschera, Oberto Conte di San Bonifacio.
In tournée in Japan he sang La Traviata, Le Nozze di Figaro and Oberto, Conte di San Bonifacio gaining a great personell sucess .

In Brasile he sang in La traviata, Don Carlo, Macbeth, Il Trovatore, Otello, Falstaff, Lucia di Lammermoor, Salomé, Tosca, in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Belém.
At the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires he sang in Pagliacci and Carmen.
