Diane Rae Schoff, Mezzo-Soprano, is a regular character on stage with Michigan Opera Theatre as well as regional companies around the country. Recent career highlights include the Old Baroness in ‘Vanessa’ with Toledo Opera, Aunt Cecilia in Mark Adamo’s Little Women, the 2nd lady in Mozart’s Magic Flute, the 2nd Maid in Elektra, and Natalia Trotsky in Frida, with MOT. She returns to Toledo Opera and Opera Grand Rapids this fall as the Third Lady in Mozart’s’ The Magic Flute’ and she is delighted to return to Opera Carolina in their productions of ‘La Fille Du Regiment’ as the Duchess of Crackenthorpe and in ‘Eugene Onegin’ as Larina. Diane maintains her love of ensemble singing and sings at Grosse Pointe Memorial Church as soloist and section leader. Diane holds the honor of being a National Semifinalist in the Metropolitan Opera Competition, and graduate of the prestigious San Francisco Opera’s Merola apprentice program.
