Baritone Brian Major, has been praised for his “velvet voice” and “commanding stage presence.”  Recently, he made his Opera Columbus and Columbus Symphony Orchestra debuts in a collaborative production of Aida as Amonasro, presented Kirke Mechem’s Songs of the Slave in Boston Symphony Hall, and debuted with Opera Theatre of the Rockies in their 20th-year celebration in Aida. Mr. Major’s performance as Escamillo was praised by Opera News for “embracing the love of the spotlight” and “never losing the strength of the vocal line.” His performance of the title role Don Giovanni with Opera in the Heights was called “sexy and despicable, full-bodied and broad.” Mr. Major sang Germont in La traviata with Opera Company of Middlebury and performed an all French Opera concert with Maestro Michel Plasson in Montpellier, France.
